Where this catalogue comes from

Every card and every figure on this site is read from one provider and stored in a local SQLite database. Pages are rendered from that database alone: loading a page never calls the provider, so a crawler cannot spend a rate limit.

Cards and printings

The catalogue lists the provider's whole card index — every card id, its local number and its name — in one request. Each card's detail, including its variants, is fetched separately and stored. A printing is kept apart by its type, subtype, stamp and foil, so a shadowless, first-edition and unlimited printing of the same card are never collapsed into one price.

Prices

Cardmarket figures are in euro and TCGplayer figures in US dollars. They are stored separately, never converted, and never zero-filled. Each price keeps the provider's own updated timestamp beside the instant this service fetched it; freshness is judged from the provider's timestamp, so re-reading an old figure cannot make it look new.

Refresh and restraint

The card index is re-read about once a day. Detail and price reads are paced, bounded to a small batch per pass, and honour a provider cooldown that is persisted across restarts. A card the provider does not serve is recorded and skipped; a transient failure is retried with backoff.

Attribution and licensing

Card data and market prices are provided by TCGdex, which aggregates them from Cardmarket (euro) and TCGplayer (dollar). Prices are indicative asking and sale figures reported by those marketplaces, not a guaranteed valuation, and no figure is converted between currencies. Pokémon and its card artwork are trademarks and copyright of Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK inc.; artwork is shown from the provider's own image host and is not licensed under this site's source.

TCGdex is an open card database and API. The marketplace figures it carries originate with Cardmarket and TCGplayer. This site's own source is not a licence to the card data or the artwork.
