The Underinformed Dab
Random inspiration: underinformed dab
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The dab had been told it was important, that it would be seen and understood, but no one came to look, and the light never changed. It waited, not out of hope, but because it had no other instruction. After a while, it began to wonder if it had been misinformed about its purpose, or if the canvas had simply forgotten to finish the thought.
The brief
A single dab of paint sits motionless on a blank white canvas, its edges slightly blurred as if recently applied, under flat, even lighting that casts no shadows, in an empty, silent room with pale gray walls and no visible furniture or windows.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
