The Under New Management Cougar
Random inspiration: under new management cougar
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The cougar had accepted the promotion out of boredom, not ambition. It now attended quarterly reviews, filed TPS reports with meticulous claw marks, and occasionally growled at the printer when it jammed. No one questioned its authority—after all, the title was on the door. It still dreamed of elk, but only during lunch breaks, when the blinds were closed and the building felt quiet enough to remember what silence sounded like before the Wi-Fi password changed every month.
The brief
A cougar stands stiffly in a fluorescent-lit office hallway, wearing a slightly crooked name tag that reads 'Under New Management', one paw resting on a half-empty coffee mug beside a potted ficus, beige walls and humming ceiling lights casting flat shadows.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
