The Slightly Translucent Ferret
Random inspiration: slightly translucent ferret
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The ferret had been translucent for exactly three days, a fact it noted with the same quiet resignation it reserved for empty food bowls and sudden thunder. It did not seek explanation, nor did it expect one. The house, equally unbothered, continued its slow decay: the clock ticked loose, the radiator hissed in minor thirds, and the ferret, neither seen nor unseen, simply waited for the light to shift again.
The brief
A slightly translucent ferret stands motionless on a worn wooden windowsill, its pale form catching the weak afternoon light that filters through dusty glass, casting faint blue-green shadows on the faded floral wallpaper behind it.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
