The Semi-liquid Rhinoceros
Random inspiration: semi-liquid rhinoceros
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The rhinoceros had been melting since breakfast. It did not panic, nor did it call anyone. It simply allowed its front half to slide across the floorboards, leaving a thick, grey trail behind it. It watched the dust motes in the window light and wondered if it would ever stand up again. The house remained silent, accepting the situation as a minor inconvenience. By evening, the rhinoceros was mostly a pool of heavy liquid, though its left ear remained perfectly upright and alert.
The brief
A pale grey rhinoceros slumps across a hardwood floor in a beige room, its hindquarters still solid while its forelegs melt into a slow, viscous puddle. Late afternoon light falls through a tall window, illuminating the ochre and grey tones of the creature and the quiet domestic space around it.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
