The Seasonally Adjusted Sugar Glider
Random inspiration: seasonally adjusted sugar glider
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The glider had been seasonally adjusted to fit the quarterly report. It spent its days suspended in the frame, neither gliding nor sleeping, simply occupying the allotted space. Maintenance staff checked the seal every Tuesday. They did not expect it to move, and it never did. The adjustment was considered a success by the committee, who valued the predictability of a creature that no longer attempted to reach the ceiling.
The brief
A sugar glider floats in a white room, encased in a transparent rectangular frame. Its limbs are extended symmetrically. Overhead fluorescent lights cast a flat grey glow over white walls and a beige linoleum floor.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
