The Seasonally Adjusted Dove
Random inspiration: seasonally adjusted dove
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The dove did not migrate. It preferred the indoor climate and the predictable rhythm of the radiator. Every Tuesday it checked the calendar and adjusted its feathers to match the official temperature. The rain outside was merely a suggestion. It waited for the season to correct itself, staring at the glass with a look of patient bureaucracy.
The brief
A white dove sits perfectly still on a grey windowsill. It wears a small brown leather harness. Rain streaks the glass outside. The light is flat and blue. A calendar hangs crooked on the wall.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
