The Provisionally Heroic Partridge
Random inspiration: provisionally heroic partridge
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The partridge was declared provisionally heroic at dawn. No one remembered why, but the certificate hung in the hallway. It waited on the ottoman for orders that never arrived, the scarf growing damper by the hour. It watched the teacup cool and the daisy droop. It considered flight, then dismissed the idea as excessive. It remained provisionally heroic, standing still, as the light moved across the floor.
The brief
A small brown partridge stands on one leg atop a grey velvet ottoman in a beige drawing room. It wears a miniature gold crown and a damp blue scarf. Pale morning light falls across a cracked teacup and a single wilting daisy on the walnut table beside it.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
