The Intermittently Reliable Bumblebee
Random inspiration: intermittently reliable bumblebee
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The bee had promised to pollinate the geranium by three, but the wind shifted, and it forgot. Now it hangs, uncertain, as if waiting for a signal that never comes. The teacup cools. The wallpaper does not judge. Somewhere, a clock ticks twice, then stops. The bee does not move. It is not broken. It is merely intermittently reliable.
The brief
A single bumblebee hovers mid-air above a worn wooden windowsill, one wing slightly askew, catching the low afternoon light that slants through dusty glass, casting a faint gold halo around its fuzzy body against a backdrop of faded peach wallpaper and a half-empty teacup.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
