The Deeply Municipal Pika
Random inspiration: deeply municipal pika
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The pika had been waiting for its permit since Tuesday. It had filled out Form 7B in triplicate, signed with a claw, and submitted it to the counter where no one was ever present. Now, it stood where the clerk should have been, listening to the hum of the light and wondering if 'deeply municipal' meant it was finally home, or just lost in the system.
The brief
A small, furry pika stands upright on a linoleum floor inside a dim municipal office, one paw resting on a stack of beige forms under the harsh glow of a single fluorescent tube, its expression calm and slightly bewildered.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
