The Bewildered Wombat
Random inspiration: bewildered wombat
AI-generated painting and story
The story
The wombat had an appointment for Tuesday. It arrived on Wednesday. The receptionist did not look up from her magazine. The wombat sat on a plastic chair and watched a dust mote drift across the ceiling. It wondered if it had forgotten something, but could not recall what. A clock ticked with heavy, slow beats. The wombat remained perfectly still, hoping the confusion would pass if it waited long enough. It did not.
The brief
A wombat stands motionless in a beige waiting room, staring at a flickering fluorescent light. The walls are pale green, and the fur is thick and brown.
The painting and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment.
