The Umbrella Exchange
Slice-of-life
Original characters: Renji Oka and Miyu Tachibana
AI-generated anime picture and story
The story
Renji had forgotten his umbrella again, but Miyu appeared at the school gate with two cocoa cups and a wide smile. They huddled under her single pink umbrella, shoulders brushing as they walked the long way home through the drizzle. Renji tried to tell a joke about puddles, but Miyu laughed so hard she nearly spilled her drink. They stopped at a red light, watching raindrops race down the glass of a nearby shop window, and Renji realized he did not mind the rain at all when Miyu was beside him, sharing her warmth and her silly stories.
The picture brief
Two high school students stand under a shared translucent pink umbrella on a rainy sidewalk, Renji holding it while Miyu leans close, both holding steaming paper cups of cocoa, with soft grey clouds overhead and blurred pastel storefronts in the background.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
