The story
On the night of the Hollow Moon, when the veil between worlds thins, Lunara Kael tends the Bridge of Echoes — a path only the pure-hearted may cross. Tomoe Shiro, lost after chasing a firefly too far from his glade, trembles with cold and wonder. She speaks no words, only hums the old lullaby her grandmother sang, the one that calls lost spirits home. As the water in her bowl shimmers with reflected constellations, Tomoe leans forward, his nosetip touching the surface. A single ripple spreads — and for a heartbeat, the river glows with the laughter of a thousand forgotten kami, welcoming him back.
The picture brief
Lunara Kael, a silver-haired priestess with glowing crescent tattoos, kneels on a mossy stone bridge arching over a starlit river, offering a bowl of luminous water to Tomoe Shiro, a young fox-spirit boy with nine flickering tails, as moonlight spills through ancient cedar trees and paints the scene in soft blues and pearlescent gold.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
