The Cherry-Colored Umbrella
Slice-of-life
Original characters: Mio Sato and Ren Takada
AI-generated anime picture and story
The story
Mio Sato ducked under Ren Takada’s umbrella just as the afternoon shower turned sudden and heavy. The translucent cherry plastic turned everything outside a soft, rosy blur, while the lavender sky glowed behind the clouds. They pressed close to stay dry, shoulders brushing, and Ren pulled out a melon-pan wrapped in paper. They tore off pieces with sticky fingers, crumbs catching in Mio’s damp hair, and laughed when a sudden gust flipped the umbrella inside out. Ren fumbled to fix it, his cheeks flushed, while Mio leaned her head against his shoulder. The streetlights flickered on, painting the wet pavement gold. It was a small, messy, perfect moment, and neither of them wanted to run for cover just yet.
The picture brief
Mio Sato and Ren Takada huddle beneath a translucent cherry-colored umbrella on a wet sidewalk, laughing as they share a single melon-pan under a soft lavender sky, pastel rain glistening around them.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
