The story
Hikaru had trained all summer to master the Starlight Sprint—a race where runners channel inner light into speed. Tonight, on the abandoned Skyridge Tower, he finally felt it: the surge. As he launched into his fastest leap yet, Rin, his rival and oldest friend, appeared on her disc, laughing, 'You’re gonna trip!' But Hikaru didn’t falter. He reached out, not to grab her, but to share his light—his bands flaring as theirs synced. For a heartbeat, they ran together, twin trails of blue and pink weaving through the dusk. The city blinked below. They weren’t just racing. They were flying.
The picture brief
Hikaru Tsukikage, a determined teen with spiky silver hair and glowing blue wristbands, leaps forward mid-stride on a neon-lit rooftop at twilight, one hand outstretched toward his friend Rin Kizuna, who grins while balancing on a floating hover-disc, both surrounded by trailing light ribbons and distant city skyscrapers bathed in purple and gold hues.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
