The story
Kaito Ryuzaki never thought his morning delivery route would end with a race against time. With Momo Hanakawa balancing a bowl of miso ramen on her head and Takeshi Onigiri sprinting beside him, they sprinted toward the last train home. The steam curled around them like a banner of victory as the express blurred past, lights streaking like comets. They had promised old man Sato they would deliver his secret-recipe broth before the shop closed, and nothing—not even a missed connection—would stop them. As the train vanished into the violet dusk, Kaito grinned, raised his bowl, and shouted, "Next stop, flavor town!" The platform echoed with laughter and the scent of noodles, a perfect moment of friendship, speed, and steaming hot ramen.
The picture brief
Three teenagers stand on a narrow train platform at twilight, clutching steaming bowls of ramen as a neon-lit express train rushes past behind them, casting electric blue and magenta light across their determined faces.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
