The story
In the heart of the Whispering Woods, where time sleeps beneath roots older than memory, Kaito Hoshizora — a wanderer who lost his voice to a storm spirit — returns the sacred acorn he once stole, not to appease, but to thank. Luna Tsukikage, moon-touched guardian of the grove, accepts it with tears that turn to starlight upon touching the earth. Elder Rootwhisper, whose breath stirs the wind through leaves, nods slowly, his wooden face creaking into a smile. As the acorn sinks into the soil, tiny flowers bloom in a spiral, humming an ancient lullaby only the forgotten can hear. The moon smiles back, and for the first time in years, Kaito feels his voice stir — not to speak, but to sing silently with the trees.
The picture brief
Under a silver full moon, Kaito stands barefoot on mossy stone, offering a glowing acorn to Luna, who kneels with outstretched hands, while Elder Rootwhisper, a towering figure of woven bark and glowing lichen, watches serenely from behind ancient trees in a bioluminescent forest, soft blue and emerald light filtering through mist.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
