The story
Pippa had sworn she’d hide the last starlight biscuit where no one could find it — not even Bramble, whose nose could sniff out sugar from three hills away. But dawn had other plans. As she balanced on the ancient arch, the biscuit pulsed warm in her palm, casting tiny rainbows on the dew-kissed stones. Below, Bramble swung like a furry pendulum, tail twitching, eyes locked on the prize. Luna, ever the pacifist, drifted down with a sigh, offering to share — if only they’d promise not to crumble it. Just then, a squirrel in a tiny hat snatched it mid-air, leaving three stunned friends staring at empty paws, then bursting into quiet laughter as the sun peeked over the hills, painting the world in gold.
The picture brief
Under a silver-dappled dawn sky, Pippa tiptoes atop a mossy stone archway, clutching a glowing honey-glazed biscuit, while Bramble hangs upside-down from a vine below, grinning as he reaches for it, and Luna floats gently nearby in a patch of bioluminescent clover, her wings shimmering like crushed pearls, all bathed in soft lavender and mint-green light.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
