The story
The annual Alley Noodle Duel had never seen such a storm. Riku, fueled by lightning-charged soy sauce, aimed to finally beat Mika’s legendary cloud-broth technique. But as he launched his Thunder Slurp, Goro stepped forward—not to fight, but to shield Mika from a stray splash of scorching oil. The broth swirled, steam dragons coiled in laughter, and for a heartbeat, the rivals forgot the score. In that glowing alley, friendship simmered hotter than any rivalry.
The picture brief
Under a flickering neon ramen sign in a rain-slicked alley, Riku Thunderbowl leaps mid-air with chopsticks blazing, Mika Steamspoon grins while balancing a floating bowl of steaming broth, and Goro Noodlefist plants his feet, fists clenched as aromatic steam spirals into dragon shapes around them, all illuminated by warm golden and electric blue light.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
