The story
Kaito Noodleblaze had sworn to protect the legendary Spicy Miso Bowl — said to grant one wish to whoever eats it with pure heart. As rival gangs closed in, he launched himself from the stall’s roof, flames dancing along his forearms from years of training with chili-infused breath. Below, Mei Steamfist stood firm, ladle raised, deflecting a flying dumpling bomb with a playful wink. ‘You forgot the extra naruto!’ she shouted. He laughed, landing in a crouch beside her, steam curling like a dragon’s breath around their feet. The stall’s owner, eyes wet, whispered, ‘You two… you’ve got the flavor.’ As the first bite touched his tongue, Kaito felt not power — but peace. The wish? To keep cooking, laughing, and fighting side by side. The real magic was never in the bowl. It was in the steam between friends.
The picture brief
Kaito Noodleblaze leaps mid-air over a bustling neon-lit ramen stall at dusk, fists clenched as steam swirls around him in golden-orange ribbons, while Mei Steamfist grins below, holding a ladle like a shield, cherry blossoms drifting through the warm haze of paper lanterns and sizzling broth.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
