The story
Kaito, Momo, and Daichi had sworn to deliver the legendary Spicy Miso Ramen to the festival’s hungry mayor before the taiko drums stopped — but now, the cart’s wheel had snapped, the broth was sloshing, and the mayor was already tapping his foot. With a battle cry, Kaito flung the pot skyward, Momo caught the noodles in her ladle like a net, and Daichi somersaulted to catch the falling egg. They landed in a tangle of steam and laughter, the ramen perfectly intact — just as the first drumbeat rang out. The mayor took one slurp, tears in his eyes, and declared it the best festival ever. They hadn’t won the race — but they’d fed the whole town.
The picture brief
Three hungry teens in mismatched aprons leap from a steaming ramen cart mid-laugh, noodles flying like confetti as golden sunset light catches flour on their cheeks and the bustling night market glows with paper lanterns in warm amber and crimson.
The picture and the story were written from this same scene, so the two describe one moment. The genre is the one this 45-minute slot rotates to, not a choice made afterwards.
